Why Not Say a Prayer Right Now?

Jesus died on a hill called Golgotha. Golgotha means “the place of the skull.” A skull means death. Jesus went to the place of the skull and died there, for you.

Bikers didn't invent the skull and crossbones. Christians had it long before anybody put it on a vest. In the early church a skull meant resurrection: a promise that the grave gets opened. As Tom says, bikers didn't own the skull. God, the Creator, did.

Jesus forgives sins. All of them. “Behold, I make all things new” (Revelation 21:5). That includes you. He doesn't care about the ink. He loves you just the way you are.

You don't get well before you go to the doctor. Don't try to fix your life up first. Just come.

Tom prays with bikers on the sidewalk at Daytona. The promise is this: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Confess just means tell Him. He already knows.

Maybe you felt something. Maybe you didn't. Tom didn't get lightning either. God's word says: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Your sins are gone. Tom says God cast them into the depths of the sea and put a little buoy on top that says “No fishing allowed.” Nobody's allowed to go fishing for them, not even you. The devil will tell you it didn't take. He's a liar. It took.

1. Tell somebody today. If you've got nobody, tell Tom. He'll answer you.
2. Get a Bible and open it every day. “The Bible is God's owner's manual.” Start with the Gospel of John, a chapter a day. You don't have to be a Bible scholar.
3. Listen to Lesson 1. Half an hour, free.
4. Find a church. Wear what you've got: “we don't care what you wear as long as you're there.” Can't find one that'll have you? Email Tom.
5. Talk to Him every day. On the bike, in the garage, three in the morning. “Through prayer we can take a road trip straight to heaven.”
