- Self-existence (Rom. 8:2): For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
- Eternal existence (Heb. 9:14): How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

- Holiness (John 16:7-8): Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. (v. 8) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
